El valor del metal se mantendr\u00e1 en sus niveles actuales incluso en caso de que persita la tensi\u00f3n comercial entre EE.UU. y China.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El actual presidente de la Sociedad Nacional de Miner\u00eda (SONAMI) no espera que la demanda de cobre durante el a\u00f1o 2020 crezca de una manera notable. Los precios de este metal industrial probablemente se mantendr\u00e1n en sus actuales niveles bajos. \u201eCalculamos que una libra de cobre oscilar\u00e1 en torno a 2,80 d\u00f3lares estadounidenses. Depender\u00e1 mucho de la situaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica internacional. Sin embargo, no prevemos que el precio se recupere de una manera notable desde que tocara fondo el a\u00f1o pasado,\u201c se\u00f1al\u00f3 Hern\u00e1ndez en sus declaraciones para la agencia Reuters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El valor de cobre cay\u00f3 el a\u00f1o pasado en promedio a 2,72 d\u00f3lares por una libra, mientras que en 2018 se manten\u00eda a un nivel medio de poco menos de 3 d\u00f3lares, lo que equivale a una desvalorizaci\u00f3n en aproximadamente una decima parte. Seg\u00fan Hern\u00e1ndez, pese a que es de esperar que el auge de veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos lleve a un incremento en la demanda de cobre, un aumento notable de su precio se producir\u00e1 hasta a mediano plazo. Tampoco la persistente tensi\u00f3n en las relaciones comerciales chino-estadounidenses supuestamente cambiar\u00eda nada en esta previsi\u00f3n.
