Cryptocurrencies broke records. Bitcoin broke the $28,000 mark for the first time

The oldest cryptocurrency Bitcoin traded above $28,000 for the first time on Sunday, December 27. She conquered it only shortly after she reached over 27,000. Ether, another popular virtual currency, also rose to two-year highs.

Bitcoin’s growth in value doesn’t seem to stop anything. Less than two weeks have passed since Bitcoin reached above $20,000 for the first time in history, and it already has another historical base in sight. On Sunday, it briefly traded for more than $28,000, missing less than $2,000 to $30,000.

The market capitalization of the entire Bitcoin market exceeded $500 billion. Bitcoin has strengthened by more than 270 percent since the beginning of this year. However, if someone bought Bitcoin in mid-March, it has so far earned five times. Bitcoin weakened to nearly $5,000 immediately after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic moved to Europe.

Ether’s Ether currency also hit two-year highs. It traded for more than $700 for the first time since May 2018. But she lacks nearly $700 more to set a all-time record. Around $1400 was traded cryptocurrency Ether in early 2018.
