connection, connecting, network

Connectbase, the industrial cloud for connectivity, acquires London-based LastMileXchange (LMX), extending the Connectbase brand globally. With this acquisition, Connectbase will have the largest API ecosystem in the world securely connecting buyers and sellers across six continents with over two billion unique locations on The Connected World platform. Existing Connectbase clients will benefit from the expanded reach in EMEA and APAC that LMX brings to the Connectbase platform, and LMX’s customer base will gain access to a leading global connectivity marketplace through Connectbase.

LMX provides communications service providers around the world with cloud-based access pricing solutions that automate, accelerate and streamline the sales process from quote to order. LMX’s reach enables the platform’s customers to connect more than 450 access vendors worldwide and processes more than 15 million bids annually. Connectbase is a cutting-edge marketplace that enables digitization and trade automation with connectivity. Connectbase’s rich ecosystem of networked buyers and sellers and high-quality location data and insights enable customers to execute digital transactions with offers, orders and other services that drive growth.

Global visions of Connectbase

“Connectbase’s vision has always been global,” said Connectbase CEO and founder Ben Edmond. “Bringing the reach, offerings, customer base and LMX team to Connectbase builds on our long-term strategic vision and adds incredible value to both companies’ existing customer base. This acquisition deepens our presence in EMEA and APAC and continues our journey as a truly connected global platform. Over the past 18 years, LMX has created an impressive digital solution for delivering quotes outside of its own network to serve the customers of global telecom operators. Now, within the Connectbase ecosystem, LMX customers will be able to further transform and easily automate their network buying and selling functions.”

All LMX employees will transition to the Connectbase team. By combining the resources, customers and competencies of both companies, Connectbase will continue to scale and accelerate growth, contributing to the expansion of the global ecosystem for connectivity and infrastructure service providers.

“Combining LMX’s precise, fast and accurate quote delivery with Connectbase’s extensive market data, rich ecosystem and automated quote delivery in North America delivers great value to LMX clients and the future of our business,” said James Grant, co-founder of LastMileXchange.
